Middle School Information Session
At École Mosaic, every child belongs and every child is supported. We are an inclusive school, with classrooms where all students – including those who need language support in English and/or French or those with special needs – can grow, participate and feel valued. Our trained teachers adapt teaching to individual needs, helping children build confidence, friendships and a strong sense of self in a caring community.
Students whose mother tongue is neither French nor English, or who have not yet completed three years of bilingual education, receive tailored language support.
Specialised team
A dedicated language tutoring team supports every learner, with small-group tutoring, close collaboration with class teachers and a caring atmosphere that helps children grow their language skills and their confidence at the same time.
Fast Track Programme
From 1P onwards, children who do not yet speak French or English are warmly welcomed into our Language Support Programme. At this stage, joining the Fast Track programme is an automatic step, ensuring every student receives focused support.
Passerelle Programme
From 3P onwards, children who have not yet completed three full years in a French/English bilingual school automatically join our Passerelle Language Support Programme in French and/or English, so they can fully engage with more advanced contexts.
Our specialist tutors work hand in hand with class teachers to help children build skills in the language they need, so they can follow the bilingual curriculum with confidence. One to three times a week, students step out of class in small groups to focus on targeted language goals in a warm, encouraging setting.
This close link between tutoring and class learning means children stay connected, make steady progress and feel more at ease in both languages.
At our international private school in Switzerland, students join small groups of up to five children and work with a dedicated French or English tutor, who gently withdraws them from class for 2 to 4 language sessions per week during school hours. The aim is for each child to confidently acquire, develop and master oral French and English by the end of the programme, so they can fully participate in class life.
Depending on teachers’ evaluations in 2P, some children may then continue their journey with extra support through the Passerelle Programme from 3P onwards, ensuring no learner is left behind.
Students work in small groups of up to five, and are gently withdrawn from class for 4 to 6 language sessions per week with a dedicated French or English tutor. This support also includes one after-school homework session (4pm to 5pm) and one lunchtime session (1pm to 2pm), helping children practise regularly in a calm, structured setting.
By the end of the programme, we expect each child to have confidently acquired, developed and mastered their new language, taking full part in École Mosaic’s bilingual community.
In class, children benefit from tailored strategies for learning that match their own unique needs. When needed, they join small-group or individual sessions with learning support specialists, focusing on specific goals so progress feels visible and achievable.
Digital tools add extra flexibility, giving learners more opportunities to practice and show their understanding. At every step, they feel supported, build confidence and see themselves moving forward.
A full-time Wellbeing Coordinator ensures that any learning or emotional difficulty is noticed early and followed up carefully. When a concern arises, the Pedagogical Team discusses it with parents and carries out a class visit to understand the child’s needs. Together with teachers, the team explores tailored solutions, which may include a personalised education plan with regular reviews.
Collaboration with families, therapists, specialist staff and a referring doctor creates a strong circle of care around each student, helping every child feel understood, supported and able to make progress.
During the sensitive years of pre-adolescence, students at our SEN School in Geneva benefit from a structured network of care to support them through emotional, social and identity changes. Each learner is accompanied by a key adult—the homeroom teacher—who offers personalised guidance, maintains close contact with families and ensures continuity in the learning journey.
A health and wellbeing coordinator provides a confidential, caring space to talk, helping students manage emotions, relationships and personal challenges, while a dedicated adult supports them through key transitions such as changing grades or joining the school.
At Ecole Mosaic, we work with our students on respect, tolerance and empathy. Learning to live with oneself and with others is a strength that our students develop on a daily basis. Each individual is different and must learn to accept differences in others in order to flourish and develop.

The kids have a great time in class and all want to go to school. My daughter spoke neither French or English when she started and was very anxious. Her teachers have eased her integration and little by little she started to speak both languages
