Middle School Information Session
Students in Grade 9 follow a bilingual French–English programme aligned with the Geneva Cycle d’orientation, ensuring a smooth, coherent transition to Secondary. By learning every day in two languages and following a rich, broad curriculum, students succeed academically and develop essential life skills for further education and beyond.
Bespoke curriculum
Students thrive in a high‑quality bilingual, multicultural environment, following a curriculum that combines the local PER and the Cambridge International Curriculum, preparing them to continue studying the Swiss Maturité, French Baccalaureate, IGCSE and A Levels or the IB.
Life skills
Learners develop valuable socio-emotional and life skills through the ISP Life Competencies framework supported by Camtree, part of Hughes Hall, University of Cambridge.
Tech-enhanced learning
Students develop digital confidence and responsible habits using iPads for research and creative projects. They are continually guided by teachers and benefit from École Mosaic’s position as ISP's Lab School in Europe, with a strong focus on EdTech.

French is the anchor language for core academic learning, ensuring smooth integration into the Swiss system. English has a central role, with more hours than in the public system and level‑based groups (beginner and advanced). English Language and Literature, as well as several complementary subjects, are taught entirely in English, while Mathematics, Science, Geography and History are delivered in both French and English with carefully planned alternation.
German completes our core language offering and Latin is available for those wishing to deepen their cultural and linguistic knowledge. Tailored language support is available, particularly for students needing to reinforce their English.
International exposure at École Mosaic develops open‑mindedness, initiative and adaptability, helping students grow into confident global citizens. Each year, International Learning Opportunities for Students (ILOS) provide a chance for students to explore their passions through intercultural projects and trips such. Examples include Model United Nations, international chess tournaments, science and robotics exchanges, social activism projects, arts and music collaborations and language and cultural immersion experiences.

With guidance from science teachers and health professionals, our students deepen their understanding of fitness, recovery, nutrition and injury prevention, so that sport becomes an important part of life.
Extra-curricular activities
A rich programme of extra-curricular activities allows students to explore passions, develop talents and discover new interests beyond the classroom. Organised around languages, arts, sports and activities that foster critical thinking and digital creativity (such as STEAM and chess), workshops take place after school and on Wednesday afternoons in a friendly, stimulating setting.
Led by specialised instructors and supported by the teaching team, they balance fun with structured progression so that each learner can move forward confidently and at a suitable pace. A supervised homework club is available on other evenings and further supports independence, organisation and calm, focused study on site.
