At École Mosaic, performing arts are a vibrant thread in our bilingual story. From Early Years to Middle School, students explore music, movement and theatre in both French and English, building confidence on stage and in themselves. Guided by specialist teachers, they sing, play instruments, improvise and collaborate on creative projects that enrich their academic learning, nurture socio-emotional skills and bring our multicultural community even closer together.

Theatre builds courage and self-esteem as children dare to face the audience, speak clearly, improvise and share emotions, moving from group activities to solo moments on stage.

After-school creativity

At our School in Geneva, students step into theatre and music as rehearsal spaces for curiosity. They experiment with instruments, movement and voice in French and English, take creative risks and learn to perform with growing confidence.
Theatre is a space where courage, voice and empathy take shape. In Early Years, children enter stories through movement and spoken play, developing motor skills, spatial awareness and early oral language in a joyful, low-pressure environment.
By Primary School, improvisation and structured games deepen their understanding of character, presence and quick thinking in both French and English. Students refine articulation, public speaking and stage craft, moving naturally from ensemble scenes to solo moments.
Pupils discover music as a language they can feel, hear and play. At our Kindergarten School in Geneva, they explore sound through simple percussion, building attentive listening, fine motor skills and the confidence to join in shared songs and rhythms. Specialist-led sessions connect rhythm, movement and instruments, strengthening coordination, spatial awareness and an intuitive sense of musical pattern.
As students progress to Primary, they learn to read notation, link what they see on the page to sound and movement, sing in parts, and experiment with instruments.
Throughout the programme, music supports focus, pattern recognition, language, literacy and maths, while ensemble work fosters teamwork, discipline and a strong sense of belonging.
Through Drama classes, children of all ages develop their personality and enhance social, emotional, linguistic and creative skills that are essential for both academic success and personal growth.
Through play, improvisation and role-playing activities, children learn to talk about their emotions, better understand themselves and connect with others.
Work on elocution helps students improve their speaking skills, enrich their vocabulary and gain confidence in public speaking. Posture, body language and physical presence are also developed, helping children become more aware of their bodies and how they express themselves.
Drama strongly stimulates the imagination, creativity, and artistic sensitivity of each child. It opens a space of freedom where children can invent, dream, create and express themselves without fear of judgment.
Stage performances turn learning into a live celebration. Early Years classes take to the stage twice a year – at Christmas and at the end of the year – in music, theatre and art shows shaped by class projects and celebrations. Every June, a whole-school multilingual production then brings all students together with singing, dancing and a shared theme chosen in advance by the pedagogical and administrative team, turning their learning into a confident, collective moment in the spotlight.
Extra-curricular arts give students space to deepen creativity and try new techniques.
Violin and individual Guitar build technique and musical independence, while Percussion with djembe and instruments from different cultures develops rhythm, coordination, ensemble skills and confidence on stage.

Green room
A calm backstage retreat that prepares performers for the spotlight, offering space to rehearse lines, adjust costumes and focus before and after performances, strengthening confidence and stage presence.
